The Great Canadian Data Centre Symposium 2021 launched last week with a thought provoking keynote from IT management legend Eugene Roman. Through executive IT roles at Nortel Networks, Bell Canada, OpenText, and Canadian Tire, Eugene has developed a unique ability to identify, follow, and assess the impact of major technology trends. He now serves as principle at Design AI Ltd., and as executive in residence at the Schulich School of Business, advising clients and students on the AI revolution. GCDCS was fortunate to have Eugene back to advise our hybrid delivery audience on acceleration of the digital advance.
A pithy creator of new acronyms and a master coiner of terms, in his presentation, Eugene introduced the audience to the “phygital world,” an evolved stage in the progress to the digital age that is enabled – and indeed dependent – on the work of critical infrastructure providers.
Check out Eugene’s presentation below! And stay tuned for more as InsightaaS rolls out video presentations of GCDCS21.
