Explore the future of IT acquisition

Launch event includes a deep-dive panel discussion on Shared Services Canada's innovative Agile 3.0 procurement strategy; all registrants receive a copy of the new Outcome-Focused IT Consumption Model Adoption in the Public Sector report.

InsightaaS is delighted to announce the release of our latest report: Best Practices in Outcome-Focused IT Consumption Model Adoption in the Public Sector. Based on input from thought leaders who are shaping the ways that the public sector aligns technologies – including, and especially, consumption-based cloud systems – with the business outcomes that are critical to modernizing service delivery, the new report provides information on business drivers shaping the adoption of Agile procurement approaches, a detailed analysis of nine important best practices, and guidance on aligning metrics with new acquisition and service delivery models.

We are welcoming all interested parties – government, education and healthcare procurement and IT decision makers, private sector professionals looking for new insights and influencers/suppliers who want to understand the future before it arrives – to a special launch event. Bringing Agile to Business Outcomes combines three unique sessions: an overview of the report and a roundtable discussion bookend a unique deep dive into Shared Services Canada’s new approach to Agile procurement.

Procurement Innovation: Exploring SSC’s Agile 3.0

At the heart of the event is a multi-viewpoint look at ‘lessons learned’ through Shared Services Canada’s innovative Agile 3.0 procurement approach, led by Guylaine Carriere, Director, Center of Expertise in Agile and Innovative Procurement Shared Services Canada / Government of Canada. The “Procurement Innovation” session will start with a brief introduction to Agile 3.0 by Guylaine, and will continue with a dynamic panel discussion in which Guylaine will lead process stakeholders – business client Nadine Charron (Director, Branch Management Services at Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC)), technical expert Doug Bakewell (Senior Technical Advisor at Shared Services Canada), external advisor Michele Lajeunesse (SVP Government Relations & Policy, TECHNATION) and personas specialist Nilufer Erdebil (CEO and Design Thinking & Innovation Consultant, Spring2 Innovation).

Panel for Agile 3.0 discussion

The Procurement Innovation session will follow a research launch in which the report’s Peer Lead, Paul Cooper, President of TIG Canada, works with some of the key contributors to the report – Sham Satrohan of the Ontario Government, Tim Lewis of Riverbed (and CITPA) Guylaine Carriere, and report author Michael O’Neil of InsightaaS – to address different aspects of the new research.

After the Procurement Innovation panel session ends, all of the event contributors will participate in a roundtable, answering questions posed by attendees. The session will end with questions posed by Guylaine and her colleagues to attendees – so please come ready to participate!
