KanKan Data Intelligence Platform provides advanced facial recognition and image classification services to application developers
LAS VEGAS, Dec. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Remark Media (NASDAQ: MARK), a global digital media technology company, announced it has been chosen by Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Alibaba Group, to provide its artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to Alibaba Cloud’s extensive developer network. As part of the partnership, Remark Media will provide its advanced facial recognition and image classification services, leveraging its proprietary KanKan Data Intelligence Platform, to Alibaba Cloud’s “AI-based Robotic Vision Ecosystem Union.”

In developing its technologies, Remark Media leveraged its extensive KanKan data platform to train its AI with tens of millions of supervised and unsupervised samples, developing models that extract facial features and recognize objects in images or videos such as branded logos, animals, airplanes, license plates, etc., with high precision.
