V2V Book Launch and Community Meetup
February 21 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
V2V is delighted to announce a tremendous milestone – the release of our first book!
Analytics in a Business Context contains best practice guidance on the four critical topics – Developing the Analytics Business Case, Problem Solving: The Right Data for the Right Question, Monetizing Data and Establishing Analytics Within the Organization – that were the subjects of 2018 V2V research reports and meetups. It also features a foreword by Frank Vella, who was recently named as the new CEO for Information Builders!
We are pleased to offer our community members a pre-order price of just $20 for the book – less than the wholesale price! If you would like to order one or more copies for your organization, please click here.
V2V founding members InsightaaS and Information Builders are also hosting a launch event, which will feature Frank Vella and include most of the 35 Canadian thought leaders who contributed to Analytics in a Business Context. As you would expect, there is intense interest in this session – and consequently, seating is very limited! If you would like one of the few seats that are still available, please use this link to inform us of your desire to be part of the launch. Please note: that this is an executive-only, invitation-only event at which no walk-ups will be admitted.
Frank Vella (Information Builders) will deliver the evening’s keynote address and will be discussing Moving Beyond the Analytics Crossroads.
Following Frank’s keynote, four V2V community members – each of whom contributed to Analytics in a Business Context – will provide a review of the book’s chapters, describing the importance of the topic, emphasizing key take-ways from the text and highlighting ways that the ‘lessons learned’ can be applied within Canadian businesses. Our reviewers include:
- Developing the Analytics Business Case – Dean McKeown (Smith School of Business, Queens)
- Problem Solving: The Right Data for the Right Question – Glenda Schmidt (Edward Jones)
- Monetizing Data and Establishing Analytics Within the Organization – Victor Magdic (Concept Flow)
- Establishing Analytics Within the Organization – Kartik Mathur (Scotiabank)
