How to open smart cities data so that it’s understandable and useful.
Presented by SENSORUP
With the advent of smart cities, more and more physical phenomena are being measured, captured and monitored digitally. This provides copious data – especially in the communities that have adopted smart cities technology. As many communities are also opening their data to the public now, it begs the question: how to manage and open smart cities data so that it is beneficial and useful to the user.
This webinar will cover the basics of preparing smart cities data and measuring systems so that it’s easier to open data so that data is easily used and beneficial to the user.
We’ll cover data model and access, metadata and contextual data, and be making disparate measuring and monitoring systems interoperable. We’ll also discuss the OGC SensorThings API, a data exchange standard written to support smart cities and Internet of Things. SensorUp will be delivering the webinar as a guest speaker for Open Data Exchange. SensorUp’s founder and staff are experts in connected data, data exchange, and smart cities.
