InsurTech Canada: The Future of Mobility

Join us for InsurTech Canada’s kickoff event on the Future of Mobility.
Aviva Canada and OneEleven are putting the spotlight on the future of mobility as it is shaped by technology. We’re excited to have Ted Graham, Head of Open Innovation at GM join us as the Keynote Speaker to explore emerging trends in the tech mobility space including autonomous vehicles, electric cars, ridesharing and more.
Highlights of the evening will include an exploration of what’s happening with autonomous vehicles in Canada (think: Ecosystem Map) presented by Brian Kobus of OMERS Ventures, and a Startup Showcase featuring a number of up and coming tech companies in the mobility space.
All proceeds of this event will be donated to charity. Complimentary snacks and drinks will be provided.

Welcome from Aviva: Ryan Spinner
Ryan heads up the Digital and Innovation initiatives at Aviva Canada and is responsible for Aviva Ventures. Ryan is excited by the intersection of tech and the insurance industry, and has been a key player in conceptualizing the InsurTech Canada event series.
Keynote Speaker: Ted Graham
Ted Graham was recently appointed Head of Open Innovation at General Motors where he works with outside partners to solve important problems that will shape the future of transportation. This includes AI more generally, and specifically autonomous, shared and connected vehicles. Prior to GM, Ted was PwC’s Innovation leader and completed 99 rides as an UberX driver to see what he could learn about disruptive innovation in transportation to apply back to his own industry.
Speaker: Brian Kobus
In his role as Director at OMERS Ventures, Brian Kobus is responsible for contributing to the identification and execution of investment opportunities for OMERS Ventures in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) sectors.Brian brings 15 years of experience in the areas of technology, venture capital and finance to his role at OMERS Ventures. Previously, Brian was VP Technology Alliances at ScribbleLive, a leading content marketing software-as-a-service platform, where he was responsible for establishing, managing and growing relationships with partners.
