BRAMPTON, ONT – December 21, 2016 – D&H Canada, the leading North American computer products and consumer electronics distributor, announces it has experienced overall sales growth of 26%, despite the less-than-inspiring performance of the general distribution market this year. The distributor has seen double digit gains in many of its categories, including notebooks and desktops (58%), collaboration and videoconferencing solutions (47%), system components (33%), printers (32%), and monitors (17%). The company has significantly outpaced the performance of the two-tiered distribution market in Canada, as reported by global analyst firm NPD Group.
D&H Canada differentiates itself most successfully in its focus on SMB resellers, doing the “heavy lifting” for its vendor partners by way of training, support and services, and helping to deliver profitable solutions to independent resellers in the Canadian channel. D&H Canada also made investments during 2015 in its personnel teams supporting the retail and ecommerce customer segments, which the company feels has contributed to its trajectory in 2016.
Additional initiatives in 2016 included two successful trade events, in the Toronto and Montreal areas, featuring training sessions from Cisco, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and Plantronics; a “Cisco SMB on Tour” road show series of workshops serving nine cities throughout Canada; and $80 million in incremental credit capacity offered to hundreds of qualified SMB resellers beginning in May of 2016. The company will continue its investment in customer-centric services and trainings to meet, and exceed, the expectations of its vendor and customer partners.
“D&H has experienced impressive growth across-the-board, which is a proud accomplishment, and one to which we devoted notable resources. We’re delighted to find that we’ve met the requirements of our reseller and dealer customers so effectively,” said Greg Tobin, general manager at D&H Distributing. “With achievement in so many categories, our challenge now is in identifying focus areas going into the future, and determining how we can continue to forecast our customers’ needs and help develop their businesses. We look forward to an exciting 2017.”
